Proposals for Speed Bumps in Poverest Rd, Queensway, Elmstead Lane & Maple Rd

I, the undersigned, object to the proposals for speed bumps in Poverest Road, Queensway, Elmstead Lane and Maple Road, which I understand are likely to go out to public consultation in the near future.

I am generally unhappy with the use of speed bumps as a traffic calming measure and wish the council to consider alternative road safety measures in those locations.

In addition I would point out that these proposals are directly contrary to previously adopted council policies concerning the use of “vertical deflections” and therefore they should not have been considered for public consultation. I ask that only alternative measures are considered for public consultation and/or implementation.
